Loudonville Home for Adults: A new setting for continued care

Senior Living Architecture

Balzer and Tuck expanded The Loudonville Assisted Living Residence with a new 16,000-square-foot Enhanced Assisted Living wing. The addition extends Loudonville’s continuum of care with 18 private suites and creates a comforting environment for residents that need to transition to more specialized care.

Key Challenges and Solutions

  • A continuation of Tudor-style detailing complements the existing Assisted Living and Memory Care facilities on the property.
  • Timber trusses and a stone fireplace in the Great Room create a home-like space for residents to gather for activities and conversation.
  • Through close partnership with the general contractor and owner, the existing facilities remained open throughout the entire construction period.

“It was an absolute pleasure working with Balzer and Tuck. They brought creativity, professionalism and knowledge to the project. It was a true collaboration between owner and architect.”  – Mike Levine, Loudonville Assisted Living Residence
