Energy Efficient Affordable Housing

Located in the heart of Saratoga Springs, NY, Promenade Apartments offers an affordable housing option for city residents.  The project includes three townhouse-style buildings along the street, infilling a hole in the street façade and reinvigorating the street with stoops and activity, along with a four-story apartment building behind them.  A total of 63 apartments for moderate- and low-income workers has been added to the city’s housing stock.  The one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments were designed to the standards of NYS Homes and Community Renewal (HCR) for affordable housing, meet the energy efficiency requirements of the NYSERDA Low Rise New Construction Program and achieved LEED for Homes V4 Gold Certification for green building standards.  Amenities for the residents include a Community Room, Fitness Center, onsite laundry facilities, indoor bike storage, a playground and a community garden.
